Coffee plantations of this variety are located at the Cordillera mountains. The most common growing regions are Tolima, Huila, Narino. Huila produces juicy, fruity coffee, and Tolima offers coffee beans with a bright lemon sourness. The coffee production area in Narino allows growing coffee at high altitudes and at temperatures below average. If ithere were not the heat that accumulates at the bottom of the canyons during the day and rises at night to ease the cold in higher mountainous areas, it would be almost impossible to grow coffee here.
